Last winter pics for GSRstilez

Well, I ordered my new rims this morning and am heading home tomorrow night to put my body kit on. I have a car show to attend next weekend so I am excited for all of the above.

My car had a tough battle this winter; from a hit and run to a smashed in rear windshield, I have had my fair share of hardships. I am glad to say that Veronica (my teg's name) made it out victorious. I clean her up and she still shines brighter than any other in my campus parking lot.

When I clean her up for the show I have my fair share of scratches to fix and lower panels to clay. It will be an all day/weekend affair to get her in the shape I want, but I will be sure to keep the boards posted. So, over the winter, this is the product combo I've built up:

-Menzerna PO 85 RD Polish via rotary and LC Polishing Pad @ 1500rpm
-Klasse AIO by hand
-Zaino Z5 x 3 by hand
-Zaino Z2 x 3 by hand
-FK1 Pink Wax by hand
-Optimum Car Wax x 2 by hand

Enjoy :).

I'm glad winter is over too! My front end is stone chip alley, and it's driving me nuts. I think on my next car purchase I'm going to have a 3M clear shield installed.

Back on track...

Your car looks awesome, especially that first shot. It's hard to believe it's outside 24 x 7.

What combo do you plan to use on the paint for your Spring clean up/car show?

Sean,

As always car looks great!!

Once again sorry to hear about all your winter mishaps!

With the combo you went with for the winter how did the paint hold up? Swirls? slick surface? ect....

Looking foward to seeing your new wheels and body kit as well!

I just added some new parts to My car as well (Cat back exhaust, and Light bar) so im looking foward to detailing it and driving it being that it sat and collected dust all winter!

My surface is still slick. I have light marring, but nothing insane. My CC is very soft and it's just no match even with the most careful methods when battling non stop sand and salt.

I have a car show, as mentioned above, coming up and for that, the combo will be:

PO85RD polish
Menzerna FTG
Trade Secret x 2-3

I will strip a couple weeks after that and most likely go back to EX/Natty's or FMJ/Natty's.

I feel your pain Sean, but I'm sure "Veronica" will join "Eleanor" and shine brightly. I painted the chrome grille on the Maxx to match the car. It looks light years better than chrome, but I have some rock chip touching up to do also.

What show are you going to? When you are ready to go back to EX, if you want to try the new formula, we can hook up. I think it's killer.
