Laptop/Tablet with best audio?

Is there a laptop or tablet that has better/best audio both over wired headphones or bt?

More volume power? Better reproduction?

I`ve found that whether it be my laptops or tablets they all seem to be lacking when it comes to actual high volume levels. They reproduce accurately enough but they are not loud. My iPad is probably the best of the bunch when it comes to being loud. Now when it comes to ear buds/plugs/headphones etc. it simply comes down to the quality of the product. I have some Senheisser headphones that are very nice and some Beats Audio Blue Tooth buds that sound pretty nice. With any of the in or on ear products I can get more than enough volume to hurt my ears.

My son has a MacBook Pro with the beats over ear headphones. On my trip across country I tried them one night and thought they were good. The head phones are both wired and bt wireless. Even Bounce it off your phone.

Regarding Bluetooth: Look for tablets or laptops with AptX via BT (it`s a codec). Sony Z series, most Samsung tablets, and a few ASUS tablets have this.
You`ll need a headset that also has AptX.
Look to this site for a list of some products: https://www.aptx.com/products

Your other option is to go with the Apple camp. All Apple devices use their own proprietary codec - AAC. Nearly as good as AptX, but with limited distribution.

If you`re looking for good audio on the laptop or tablet itself (internal speakers), Apple is the best of the bunch. The 15" MacBook Pro, and recent iPad Pro are standouts.

For excellent audio out of the headphone jack (3.5mm), Apple as well has quite good D/A going on. For high(er) voltage drive out of the 3.5mm, LG has a few offerings that are decent.

If the goal is to get good volume output, bypass the source device itself and get a set of active headphones. They`ll have their own amplification, which helps in the volume department.

A lot depends on what the application or goal is. There is rarely a "best" in audio. Rather, a "suitable for the application". What`s the desired end result, here?

iPad pros have quad speakers and sound better than any laptop, except the retina MacBook pros. The quality in the speakers are amazing

I have an HP Pavilion X2 that is a tablet/laptop(removable keyboard) and has speakers on each side of the screen. It has decent sound but nothing that will blow your mind type sound. I don`t like earbuds so I prefer this method of listening to video and YouTube and such. I have had it for for over a year and I like it. I owned a Samsung galaxy tablet and will never buy that brand again, just my opinion. I can`t really compare to anything else out there.

Laptop sound, Macbook Retina hands down.

Headphones that work with them, Klipsch, preferably the S8 active, at least for wired headphones.

I have a 17" Lenovo with JBL speakers, a built in sub, and Dolby Digital +. I`ve owned a dozen or more laptops and it`s the cleanest, clearest, and loudest I`ve ever heard. I have no headphones so no idea on that angle. It`s not earth shattering but it sounds quite good for being built in rather than adding external speakers.

I went into Guitar Center and talked with one of the guys about studio headphones. I ended up getting Audio Technica M50x. I`ll never look back the studio headphones sound great compared to others I`ve had.

I`m looking for headphone/earbud type only at the moment to be unobtrusive.
Once again, I`ve been happy with these and they are very comfortable. A charge is good for 5 or 6 hours in use. On the other hand I had some over the ear BEATS headphones. The best term I could use to rate them was JUNK.

My mistake, I misread your intended use. If you can`t upgrade the player on your current laptop/tablet then maybe try for a laptop that has premium audio. Not sure what qualifies for premium in a laptop but my desktop has Beats and over external speakers(Harmon Kardon) it sounds quite nice. My iPod touch has real nice sound through the earbuds and it is capable of blue tooth and is capable of accessing the internet but the screen is small. If the iPad sounds anything like the iPod does that might be worth checking out. I never went that route because of cost.

Funny thing, I just tried this HP tablet/laptop with earbuds and it sounds quite nice but for some reason once I plug in the earbuds it pretty much renders the tablet useless. The touchscreen and keyboard seize to function. Again I don`t like earbuds so at least I don`t have to work through this bug.

Hope you find what you are looking for.
