Lamborghini Huracán, Wolfgang Uber Ceramic

First off, thanks to those that helped me choose a coating for this detail. I just had this car delivered on New Year's Day, and finally got around to doing my new car prep on it.
As many of you guys know, brand new Lamborghinis (and in fact, most exotics (Ferrari and Alfa Romeo are atrocious!) often come from the factory with a ton of defects. I was fortunate - I believe that the dealership had hired a specific detailer prior to having the car delivered, as they noted how careful I was with the paint on my Gallardo. There were a few noticeable defects, but not many, thankfully - none really worth taking pictures of. There was some significant haze on the rear bumper that was easily corrected, and a few swirls here and there, but nothing even requiring any even remotely close to compounding. It was actually the easiest detail I've ever done, which was a nice change, as some of the cars I've done recently have been a bear!

I used:

-CarPro Iron X Snow soap
-Menzerna Power Finish on a Lake Country white pad - mostly with Flex 3401, followed by Menzerna Super Finish 4500 on a black Flex pad, using Flex PE8 - it took longer of course, as I did the whole car with a 3" pad, but I didn't mind - I like the control that I get from the smaller pad, and I didn't have to rush, at all.
-Wipe down with CarPro Eraser, twice.
-Wolfgang Über Ceramic Coating. I thought long and hard about this one, vacillating between this and the unopened bottle of CQuartz UK, but I really was curious about the Uber Ceramic.
-This was the first time I've used the Microfibre Madness Crazy Pile - wow. They are an amazing towel!

Here's some pics - if anyone has any suggestions, I would welcome them. I am always learning, and tips are always welcome, thanks.

I absolutely HATE doing windows, clearly :):

The metallic flake is really cool - it has silver, gold, blue and even red in it - I tried to take a pic, but it was difficult to get the camera to focus, sorry:

Okay, I think that's it, haha. Our little car group has a big show coming up in a couple weeks, so it was due.

As always, thank you for looking, and even more, THANK YOU to everyone here, with your fantastic, friendly, and funny help. It is always greatly appreciated!

Have a GREAT week everybody!

Thanks guys. Really appreciate your comments.

I forgot to ask - I can't seem to find out if I can, or even should, top the Uber? I was thinking maybe Reload?

Thanks again.

Jealous, I always wanted a Gallardo. Since the Huracan came out it is one of my favorites. You've had both, that is awesome!

Just a great looking car. Glad to see someone who drives an exotic details his/her own car. The only way I would ever do it if I was in your shoes. If I was to try a coating I think I'd try Wolfgang. Congrats on one of the quickest and coolest cars ever.

Those rotors and calipers are massive. The rotors look like steel, or are they carbon ceramic?

If you are ever in Northern Wisconsin, I'll buy you a tank of gas just for a ride in the passenger seat:)

Don't know the answer, about topping the coating, but I would be waxing (Wolfgang fuzion) that thing every month or two.

I'd +1 the fuzion idea since its Wolfgang as well.

Not sure how long it'd last though but it would definitely add something-if that's what you're going for.

But then again I regularly break the rules with coatings (on my car).

I'm personally afraid of reload on black. Had an over use/streaking problem that luckily was solved.

All I learned from it was that I probably didn't use as much as Ron kidding as well

Why didn't you tape off the L/F marker light? LOL

Other wise an excellent job on a sweet ride.

Thanks! I was always the kid with the massive Countach poster on the wall (I pronounced it "Lamborgnee" for years, haha), and swore that I'd live in a shack if it meant driving a nicer car :) I am lucky - the guys that I drive with ask me to detail their cars regularly. I love doing it, and the benefit is, they insist on paying me, but I do it to experience the cars, so the local animal shelter benefits from what they "pay" me. Win-win! I have a few other threads about some of their cars. Next up, I have a Gallardo Superleggera (black), a Countach (white) (!!!!!!! - MY CHILDHOOD DREAM CAR! :D), and a Ferrari F12 (red) - new car prep. I am a little nervous about the Countach. It would be like going on a date with Sophia Loren, haha.
The rotors are carboceramic all right - standard on the Huracan, but I am reading that lots of owners that track their cars regularly are swapping for the steel ones, as replacement is absolutely, hideously expensive!
I have never been to Wisconsin, but if I am, I'll give you a shout, haha. Likewise, if you're ever in my neck of the woods (Saskatchewan, Canada), look me up, and I would be very happy to take you out for a spin :)

Thanks you guys - Fuzion does seem a good option - I never even thought about that - just ANOTHER detailing-related purchase to make.... where does it end? :) :) :)

Nice job! That's a great looking bull.

Thanks!

I KNEW you eagle-eyed guys wouldn't miss that, hahaha! I had no idea I had missed it until after I took the pic, and then taped it over right after. Thanks!! It's going to be a fun ride, I think. It's been sitting in storage, as winters here suck balls...it's been a record-breakingly mild winter, but still - salt and gravel don't mix with any cars, never mind an exotic!

Fantastic work !!!

Thank you!!!

The masking job looks impressive!

Good job overall.

Cheers! I absolutely LOATHE cleaning windows - it's almost pathological how much I really dislike it, haha - so, I'd rather spend the time masking them off. My buddies always bug me, saying "jesus, are you detailing or respraying the whole car"?

Beautiful car!

Thank you! I am lucky to have it, and even more lucky that I have a very understanding, tolerant wife, haha

jealous! nice work

Haha - thanks. I absolutely love doing it - it's the one thing I do, that doesn't entail deadlines, high-pressure commitments, and something that I can physically stand back and appreciate, once finished.

Thanks everybody. I really do appreciate all of your comments. I am always blown away at how active this group is, and how genuinely helpful everyone is, here.

Enjoy the week, everyone!
