Holy crap, this car destroyed the McLaren P1, LaFerrari, and Porsche 918`s times. 6:52 is crazy fast!

Didn`t see it listed anywhere......was it wearing stock tires?
Good point on tires. Impressive no matter what tires, but if they are not street tires, the Huracan`s time would be very misleading.
This lap time was truly on another planet!
The new ALA active aero is revolutionary for a road-going car - it kind of makes the flappy body panels of the Pagani Huayra look clumsy, and ham-fisted.
To have beaten the 918 by a full five seconds, with 250hp less, is absolutely CRAZY.
I have confirmed that the lap was done on Pirelli Corsas - NOT the Trofeo R tires (which are basically race tires)- they are custom-designed Corsas - designed especially for the Performante, and have a dual-compound tread, and will be exactly the tires that the Performante will ship with from the factory! (Many, many sports cars will have tires with treads designed specifically for that car - even sports cars that aren`t "exotics"). I believe the new Michelin PS4s have a similar dual-compound tread. It`s about time Pirelli updated their tires. Truly, the Corsas as of late have been less than wonderful....
If you want a real laugh, go to McLarenlife.com - they are whining like crazy about how there is no way that the Performante laid down a time of 6:52. Funny, how neither McLaren nor Ferrari will bring their own cars to the `Ring. I love how Lamborghini will put its money where its mouth is.
The Performante is GORGEOUS in person. (Lamborghini has had several private showings...). That it backs up its looks with stellar performance, is nothing short of remarkable.
I agree with the Viper postulation though. I think it really does have a great chance of being right there with the Performante. its only potential limiting factor, is that the aero is fixed, and that MASSIVE rear wing creates so much drag that it is limited on the long straights. The stock Viper is actually faster in a straight line than the ACR because of this. Also, the 918 is somewhat hampered, in that if they were to go absolutely balls-out for an entire lap on the `Ring, the battery would be depleted. I have read that the driver could not exceed 280kph as a result, thus enabling him to retain some juice in the battery system. This is my big criticism of hybrid systems - unless the system is truly regenerative (I think the McLaren P1 is such a system), then lap after lap, you`re losing power.
The Performante is 38 seconds faster around the `Ring than the regular Huracan..... that is bonkers!!!
True, but the `ring doesn`t have a ton of straights, its mainly about cornering speed. And, on Laguna Seca(a much shorter track), the ACR is a whole second faster than the 918I agree with the Viper postulation though. I`ll take your "slower" Huracan off your handsThanks for the added info. Can`t wait to see more photos of the Performante.

I cannot wait for the PS4S! They will be going on my ride ASAP!
This is true. I SO want the Viper guys to get the new ACR back to the `Ring to see what they can do. They have a gofundme type of thing going to try and get it there - I hope they succeed.
Never knew how much it cost to lap Nurburgring. Granted the manufacturers probably pay to close the track, but I would definitely pay 25 euros to lap the ring.

Don`t crash though, that is when costs get very real. Check out the above link.
