Lake Country yellow pads don't last?

I used a LC yellow pad for only the second time yesterday. Just before I finished, the white backing material completely separated from the pad itself.

Anyone else have this happen? Can anyone recommend a more rugged cutting pad ?

I didn't abuse the thing, so I was surprised that it happened:nixweiss

Well I have had the same Yellow 7.5" LC concaved cutting pad for about 4 months or so now. I have had maybe 15-20 uses out of it, and it has a lot more in it. Are you using the flat pads or the concaved pads? So I can't speak for the flat pads from LC, but I'm very happy with the concaved pads.

It was the concave type.

A post in the Ask The Manufacturer Forum might do you some good. Would you like me to move this thread over there for you?

Sure sounds like a bad batch. I still have every LC pad I bought. All in very usable condition.

The only LC pads that gave me trouble were the early 6.5" DA Pads with the *cookie cutting* problem, but LC swiftly took care of this for me.

I've had good luck with the LC pads. Even the basic pads have been fine. I'd contact your dealer or LC.

You prob got a defective pad. Lake country has made a post a few weeks back about some poblems they were having. Do a search to find the thread. I would call the company you bought it from and ask for a replacement

They must not like me :( I bought some last summer and the LC rep on this board just told me it was a user problem. I asked him multiple times for the address to ship them back after he hinted that they may warranty them. All they list on their website is a PO Box and that won't work w/ UPS or FedEx. I was just ignored :(

Well, that sounds odd. I used mine only one time and they fell apart, so I wasn't taking no for an answer.

FYI, USPS goes to a PO Box.
