Lake Country CCS Pads - wash?

I just finished up for the first time using a new CCS LC Polishing pad. Now that it has polish embedded into the pad - should I immediately wash it - if so how - and is it harmful to leave it on the pad w/out washing (plan to use it again tomorrow).

Thx!

I don't how harmful it is cause i've never done.

I wash them completely after I am with Dawn in the sink and then usually let them air dry cause I got enough to use

i dont use lc pads, but i had a few and they seem to be way more durable than the meguiars im using now. i have a lot of pads so i just throw them in a bin at the end of the day and throw them in the washing machine at the end of the week on low for a short period of time. the backing does wear a bit tho.

WARNING: Never clean foam pads or soak foam pads in dishwashing soap (Dawn) or laundry detergents. These detergents will attack the glue that holds the Hook and Loop backing material. Soak pads in a car wash shampoo or use Snappy Clean Pad Cleaning Powder.

So I assume regular hand soap and warm water?

that a good way to sell you stuff

I(as have many others) have wahed our pads with dawn for many years

with no problems

In my experience so far, CCS pads clean fairly quickly with dawn put directly on pad and then cleaned under hot water. The hot tap water really seems to make a difference (liquefy the dried wax/polish) better than just relying on cleaning. I do not have to do any extended soaking.

I clean my pretty much the same as the above posters with soap /water and sometimes snappy (usually pretty quickly after I'm done using them).

The only thing I'd add is that after wringing them out I like to throw them back on the polisher at a high speed and spin the water out.

Do you wash these under the sink, Al? If it goes down the drain somewhere, do you ever worry about the product solidifying in the drains and causing problems? I guess the same could go for people putting their stuff in a washing machine.

I wash mine in the sink under running hot water but I never thought much about harming pipes or drains. but I do not believe I put enough down the drain to amount to much.

After I am done using my pads I spray it with Dawn Power dissolver and let it sit for a few minutes. After they are done sitting i rinse them off by hand under warm water and let them air dry.

I did need to reuse one so I took it for a spin on the PC to dry it, but I was really nervous of tossing it off and getting it dirty, so I don't normally do that.
