Label MFs?

Do you guys label all of your MF towels?

When I first started I labeled ALL of mine and it got really confusing. Wax remover, back to black app, back to black remover, leather conditioner remover, etc, etc and the sharpie is starting to fade making it even harder to read.

I know I should keep my MF for windows dedicated to that, but how about the others? If I wash them thoroughly in between uses can I use one for wax removal one time and leather the next?

How does your system work?

I really just color code my general purpose MF's. Blue - interior, Yellow - wheels, rims, engines nasty stuff, Pink(ish)- exterior trim, like applying trim restorer etc.

mine are all colour coded....ie. orange (wax) white (interior dry) blue (interior wet) green (glass) etc...different towels for differen jobs...once they get old they go into the "dirty rag" assortment then I use them to wipe jambs, greesey spots etc.

another vote on the different colors here. Blue, Orange, Yellow and Green for MF"s And a couple of oddball colors from recieving various MF's from different freebie's and such.

I separate them into uses, e.g. exterior, interior, glass. I don't separate them based upon product.

Same here. I don't get too fancy as I have large ww for exterior drying, smaller ww for glass, plush for polishing/lsp and the rest are smaller utilities for whatever other purposes. Works for me come wash time as I do them separate from one another.

Thanks for that guys.

Looks like I need to get more colors. I had a few assorted colors laying around and I bought a big pack of MFs from Sam's club as well as a WW from Detailed Image, but the majority of mine or orange. It's so frustrating sorting through a bag of orange MFs looking for the right one.

I'll probably do:

Windows

Interior

Polish

Wax

Exterior Trim

Wheels/Exhaust

Drying

Now off to look for seven colors of MF LOL
