Kreepstool for $84.99 at Costco

I've wanted a Kreepstool for the longest time, but was always too cheap to spend close to $200 for a stool. Costco.com used to carry it online, but I haven't seen it around for months, besides the Kreepster.

Tonight, at my local Costco they just started carrying the Kreepstool for $84.99. My wife has been wanting one too so I couldn't pass up on this amazing deal. To give you an idea HOW GOOD this deal is, TopOfTheLine.com wants $190 plus almost another $20 for shipping.

It has a lifetime warranty and it's hard to beat Costco's return policy. Man, sometimes I feel like I'm a Costco/Sam's Club shill LOL.

Here's their website and some photos of what I'm talking about:

nice looking kreepstool, looks very sturdy. what kind of car wash did they have at costco this time around? is it still turtle wax ice?

I haven't seen any car wash for the past few weeks. They put out the TW Ice car wash for a few days and that was it. Even at that price I don't think they sold out, they probably just moved it out. My Long Beach Sam's Club didn't have any car wash either.

The Cypress Costco right now has the Mother's Powerball with the metal polish. Nothing new so far.

hmmm... maybe they don't think too many people washing their cars in the winter LOL... i'll have to check my sams club tomorrow and see what they got, i haven't been there in a while. even if they don't have anything, i can get the slice of pizza and drink for $1.50 on my way out... :D

Costco is my favorite store. I go there for lunch at least 1/week. I haven't seen the Kreepstool at mine.

I just saw it at mine yesterday.

And funny about the hot dog deal. My dad will plan his shopping @ Costco around lunchtime so he can get the hotdog. :)

That's so strange. I was looking at this very thing last night on Top of the Line. Makes me wish I had a solid cement driveway. One of the previous owners of my house did just about the worst brick job imaginable on the driveway with huge deep gaps between unevenly set bricks. And the worst is that I can't just tear it out since I live in a historic district and they're really strict about replacing this kind of stuff. :hairpull

That is the Kreepster creeper. It's been $189.99 since I've seen it on their website.

The one for $85 is the Kreepstool stool. IIRC, Costco was selling it for $189.99 also when it was on their website.

I'll check my local one first, but I may need to take a short trip to that one.

Thanks for the heads up.

I saw it at the Costco here in St. Louis at 270 & 55. My wife actually pointed it out to me. I think she knows in the back of her mind that I'm going to end up buying one.

What's so special about this Kreepstool? The Kreepster looks cool, because it folds flat to let you slide under the car and whatnot, but the Kreepstool just looks like a chair on wheels with some bins to hold some tools you need. Am I missing something here? Seems like you could just get a chair, put some casters on them and duct tape a bin to it. Would save you the $80.

Here's TOL's description of it:

Kreepstool Rolling Chair: The ergonomically designed Kreepstool is the future of upright creeper seats. It features a strong lightweight aluminum frame and a well cushioned seat with full backrest. Smooth rolling urethane wheels glide over most obstacles and a super stable base configuration has suspension springs on all wheels. Don't worry about safety. Parking brakes keep the Kreepstool firmly in place.

There are many compartments to store tools. Auto parts, tools and chemicals may be stored in upper and lower utility compartments and a unique horizontal tube can be used for cords and hoses. Even drink holders are included!!

The Kreepstool can be used for limitless applications. It serves the automotive, marine, aircraft, motorcycle and RV industries. It is also just at home in your own garage.

Kreepstool Features:

# Strong, lightweight aluminum frame

# Cushioned seat and backrest

# Smooth rolling urethane wheels

# Parking brakes

# Multiple tool compartments

# Small parts drawer

# Stable base

# Weight: 15 lbs

# Ground clearance: 4"

# Overall height: 30"

# Seat height: 18"

# Maximum weight limit: 450 lbs.

# Lifetime Warranty

I have a small stool at the moment that never sees any use. It's way too low to the ground. There's no back for me to lean on if my back starts hurting from bending over. The "cupholder" sticks out and cuts my legs. Because it is low and the wheels are cheap, it's not that easy to maneuver while sitting on it. But the main reason why it hasn't got any use is because my driveway is on a slight incline so the moment I get up, the stool starts rolling down the driveway.
