In a previous post ( This one ) I made an observation about AIO hazing. Well to further the story from the first coat of SG I added one every 24 hours till I have 3 layers. Then I figured what the heck I'll put a layer of Z2 on it. I had read Z2 was put on AIO .. thought it would be ok on SG.
I applied the Z2 very thin and with light pressure to 1/2 the shield over the SG and soon as I lifted the MF I saw the tarnish.
I let it set a 1/2 hour and buffed .. there was more tarnish on the MF. There was no visual difference in the two halves. I compleeted the other 1/2. Same tarnish.
The next day out of curiosity I applied a layer of SG over the Z2 using WOO. No tarnish.
This morning I did another Z2 ... tarnish again?
Anyone have an idea whats happening? My way of thinking is if your getting tarnish on the rag your getting to the Aluminum?
Would the Z2 be lifting the SG? Any thoughts??
The dark line on the shield is not tarnish its a reflection .. tarnish is shown on the MF
