Klasse users howzit beadin'?

I have used Klasse AIO and SG on six vehicles now. All but one of them, mine, received just one coat of SG. Of the cars that got one coat of SG the first was done on Thanksgiving. It is a daily driver that is garaged at night. Three months later and it still beads up really well on the vertical as well as horizontal panels. The second vehicle is always kept outside without cover. It was done on Dec. 23rd and nearly 2 months later it still beads with zeal, including all of the vertical surfaces. Moreover the surface is still smooth and very shiney.

These results were achieved using AIO on a PC with a white CMA foam pad. I hand apply the SG with a MF applicator and I hand wipe the AIO and SG with MFTs.

I'm very pleased with the results but I'm just one guy. <strong class='bbc'>How is Klasse holding up for you?[/b]
 
Hard to tell for me, since I toss a coat of carnauba on after every wash - but the car beads like CRAZY.



I did do half of my beater, and the half I've done is beading very well after about 2 months. The true test for me will be to see how well it beads in another month or two.
 
I'm really impressed with Klasse's durrability. I never lost the beading once. This is a pic at the height of my Klasse coats.

I love the beading. I'm a little sorry to see them go since I changed to blackfire. Hopefully once I get a few more coats of BF on then I can give it a good carnuba topper and get my beads back.
 
We bought a Canon A20 for Christmas. It turns out pretty good pics when the batteries are strong. :) My car is kind of a photo whore though. ;) Its always begging to be photographed. Feel free to use em for the waxtest if you want to. :up
 
I did My 2 cars with 1 AIO and 2 SG in Dec . Still looks good and beads and shines. Its not as smooth, like when you first take off the SG. Do you guys notice that also? My cars are outside 24/7 in the FL sun. Maybe thats why.
 
Exactly three months ago I Klasse'd my brother-in-law's 96 Infinity. Did two applications of AIO after claying and finished it with one application of SG. He brought the car back yesterday and it was still beading very well when I washed it. This is a car that regularly gets driven from LA to San Francisco and is always parked outside. Pretty impressive in my book.

i've got a few layers of SG over the AIO on my black jetta and it still beads even after 3 outdoor months.

when it's warm enough to wash it, it beads like crazy.

It beads pretty well when the surface of the paint is not covered with a thick film of dust. When the thick film of dust is present ,the beading is minimal and slowly deteriorates. This never happened with Zaino. No matter how thick the layer of dust, Zaino beaded like crazy. When I wash the car the beading comes right back. The water sheets right off after spraying the car with water. Don't know if I didn't prep the car before applying Klasse. Things like claying, SMR, etc... Does using a PC to apply result in better beading? As the Klasse gets applied more evenly. Hope veteran Klasse masters can enlighten me. :)
 
My experience with zaino has been a little different. I have approx. 15 coats of zaino on my truck and it beads great when it has been just washed, and QD'ed or when a fresh coat of Z is put on but after the thing is dirty it doesn't bead nearly as well as klasse did under the same circumstance. Z seem to get a little dirtier than the same vehicle in a PA winter with 6 coats of sg on it. Just my observation. Many factors come into play. I was using #34 QD on my klasse which may have enhanced the efffect. I love the look of the zaino, I'm just not as impressed with the ability of it to stay clean. Its still better than blitz or 3M at staying clean but not quite as good as several coats of SG. I find that my zaino is now sheeting during washes for some reason. My wifes honda with 5X SG and 4 blitz on it last Aug. still beads great as well.

Although I haven't actually tested both methods of application to see which beads better I would say that using AIO with the PC will clean the paint better than using AIO by hand.
 
Jngrbrdman nice example of sheet/beading, traditional wax will bead a little "clingier" but it's still beading, if that makes sense.



My car Klasse in the fall with 1 coat of souveran (gone by now) is still sheet/beading like Jngrbrdman's.
 
I'm working on 11 months since my original Klasse application and my hood (and the rest of the car, too) still beads like this unless really dirty.



Since tomorrow's my birthday, I'm hoping that the birthday fairies bring me some money so that I can get a clay kit from CMA. Then I'm on to re-doing the entire Klasse process from scratch.



Now if the weather will behave....

This doesn't count but the silver BMW I detail only gets one Klasse treatment a year (treated it once last spring (March), and is due up for a spring cleaning this march (second klasse treatment.) It is washed maybe once every two-three months.



Well it is a garage queen that only sees the light of day twice a month or so. It doesn't get all that dirty.



I will post before and after pictures soon of this car too...man am I going to have a busy spring.



The blue Corolla has been given a diet of Klasse last August or was it July, then a coat of Blitz in November. Has not been washed since by me, it did go through the automatice car wash three times. Hey had to weigh in the options. Corrosive salt on the car, or a wash that will put in some swirls. Still shiny, but its due for a major make over. 6+ months.

Wash more often to keep Klasse beading at all times. Just seems rather fast that after 2-3 weeks the beading is down to nil. After the wash, the beading is back. Maybe my Klasse is defective? Koyaanisqatsi, yes, Zaino does attract more dust then Klasse. But for me the Zaino keeps beading even when there is a thick coating of dust on the car. Does FI #34 really improve the beading action of Klasse and prolong the beading? Have to use some FI after Klasseing in the spring time to see if the beading improves. I'll be washing the car next week. I'll see how the Klasse held up to the salt. Haven't washed since November. :) Lazy and cold. :) If the slickness and ease of cleaning is still there, then Klasse is very durable. I'l report back next week.
 
I'm coming up on 5 months. 2xAIO 2xSG and a topper of Collinite Marque d'Elegance No. 915.



I have only hand washed or ran it through a touchless.

I know it's OT - but how did the touchless affect your car?



Since I've been really short of free time lately, I figured I might run my car through it, to save some time, and just dry it off myself. Did you see any problems with running your car through the touchless?
