i'm asking a friend from the US to buy some detailing stuff for me. He will bring it back to the Phils when he returns this late sept.

Question: He will put the detailing products in his check-in luaggage, will there be any issue during airport security inspections? anybody tried this yet?

i'm also thinking of some other stuff like S100 wax and California duster and MF towels. :)

thanks!!!!

As far as I know, anything that's gel, liquid, and waxy can't be brought on. I say this because stuff like Carmex and other chapstick are waxes in nature, and those are not allowed, so I'm assuming detailing chemicals would not be allowed. I managed to slip by with chapstick 2 weeks ago, but a tiny tube of chapstick is a lot different than fairly large cans of chemicals... To be safe, like said, call the airline. That's better than having to toss out a bunch of stuff at security.

That's incorrect. It's only for carry on bags. Checked bags don't have the same restrictions.

If the bags are going below (checked-in) then there should be no problem. I do it this way quite often when I am in the US.

so if it's in the check-in baggage, its ok. then to make sure i'll need to double check with the airline? thanks!

if its check in baggage you should be fine, but as others said, no liquids, gels, pastes, waxes etc are allowed to be carried on the plane!
