Klasse Spray Wax Forumla

I`m trying to make my own Klasse Spray Wax using the instructions found here: Klasse Car Wax Guide

The formula says to use 8 oz. of Meguiar`s Quik Detailer for every 1/4 cup of Klasse Sealant Glaze. But Meguiar`s has at least three types of Quik Detailer formulas that I am aware of: Original, Gold, and Ultimate. Which formula is the one that should be used to make Klasse Spray Wax?
 
Thanks for the perspectives. What is confusing is that the write-up talks about the original formula in the burgundy bottle, but the link to Amazon for the Quik Detailer links to the ultimate formula. Not sure if it matters all that much as the key ingredient appears to be the KSG.
 
I`m lost here...why not just use the KSG in the conventional way? Easy enough stuff (and I used it on *BIG* vehicles, heavily layered).
 
I guess this turns KSG into a super quick detailer. Sounds like a good idea to use daily to knock off the dust. I`ve got some old Meg`s QD that came with a clay bar kit (mostly interested in the clay bar) that I could experiment with. Would this work on non KSG applied surfaces?

The KSG is just an acylic sealant. SO I don`t see whay it wouldn`t work. Obviously it will bond better to itself but it should be fine over other sealants.


Basically guys are making a version of Sonus Acrylic Spritz Detail Spray -or- Sonus Acrylic Glanz Spray Sealant.


I mixed some leftover KSG into some Sonus Acrylic Glanz and made a truly powerful spray sealant that I used when topping my KSG layered car for over a year. I had 3 or 4 layer of KSG regularly applied then used my Sonus Acrylic Glanz once a month. Really this was basically an early version of a "coating + ReLoad" or any other topper.
 
Don`t some of the Meguiar`s QDs contain stuff that`s unlikely to play nice with the KSG?

NO, I *don`t* know, but I have vague memories that certain ones leave stuff behind that might not be good in this case.

I`m pretty confident that M34 would be OK, but I dunno about the others.

And yeah...I`d just use the Acrylic Spritz if not using the KSG straight (in fact, that`s what I do). I wouldn`t try to mix in a QD/cleaner-product; I`d to a separate step. Easy for *me* to waste somebody else`s time though, huh?

That is EXACTLY what you are making. If you read that website I linked to, the author is the creator of Sonus Acrylic Detail Spray and Sonus Acrylic Glanz Spray Sealant. The formulas for both are given at that website. It`s so many parts Meg`s Quik Detailer to so many parts KSG for each of those two products. I did correspond with the creator of those products (who also posted the formula), and apparently any of Meg`s Quik Detailers (Original, Gold, or Ultimate) can be used, but the formulas were first created with the original burgundy-bottle Quik Detailer. He didn`t feel it made much of a difference which Meg`s QD you used. I have used the Sonus-made versions of these, and they worked very well. Since the formulas are the same, the homemade version should work just as well.

So if you are a Klasse user, you can make the accompanying Klasse spray detailer and spray wax from common detailing products and a measuring cup. :)
 
You are welcome! I have used that site for years as my go-to detailing reference, and it has served me well. It`s the reason I got into using Klasse in the first place. Hope your home-made spray waxes and detailers work excellently! :)
