Klasse SB vs. Platinum UPP . . . .

Before I go order some SG, I want to get all your input on Klasse SG comparred to Platinum Ultimate Paint Protection. I will be using the SG or the PUPP on top of AIO.

I already have PUPP and want to get some feedback from those who have used both products, preferably on silver or light colored paint.

Thanks in advance!

After using both, I prefer SG. I think it is more reflective and has better protection. Actually, let me edit that, I like SG with a carnauba topper. However, why not try PUPP on it and see if you like it before ordering SG. Platinum has a little bit more depth, but honestly, there never is going to be as much depth on the silver as opposed to the old flat black. That's why I like topping the SG with a carnauba because it it adds the depth better than PUPP. Both are going to to look really good because I'm sure the car will be prepped with the highest standards. The sealant is going to be so subtle.

I have used both alone, with toppers, with #7 (the UPP) and on top of each other. Here are the points for each:

SG:

1) higher durability

2) brighter with light colour paint jobs

3) tougher to apply right

4) longer drying time

UPP:

1) really good with dark colours

2) super easy to apply

3) quick drying time

4) super slick

So the way I use them is this: For my car outside, SG, no topper.

Cars in the garage, UPP, or SG topped by UPP, or whatever combination I want. :)

My wife's car is a white WRX, and I really like the brightness of SG. Not as slick though. She used to have a red Hyundai, and UPP looked great on it. Rich and dark. She used to always when I put a fresh coat of UPP on it, because she said that her hand would slip off the door when she tried to hold on to the door to close it (blasphemy - who would close the door by the paint? :p)

Why choose? I use them both. My car is white and my wife's car is sort of beige. I actually prefer UPP on them because it creates less of a polished rock look and more of a wet look. I use SG in the winter for the protection because it is more durable than UPP. If I had to choose between the two for my cars I'd go with UPP for ease of application and appearance values over the durability issue. Its a pretty perfect product for my purposes.

Jngrbrdman and 2wheelsx2,

Thanks for the input! I just applied AIO with PUPP on top. I plan to apply more layers of PUPP in the next couple of days. For now I am going to stick with this combo.

How many layers of PUPP will achieve the greatest results? I am planning on 2 to 3 layers of PUPP at first and then I might topp with P21S.

Thanks again! :D

I do three layers and then top with P21S. That is the best bang for my buck that I can get. Its really amazing after 3 layers. I still think 5 is probably about the peak, but I've never really stopped to take notice. Its all good after 3.
