Klasse - Products to use with ??

I currently have 1 AIO/3 SG on my 02 Dark Blue Maxima applied last fall (I think I have few swirls at present). This spring I'd like to try a pure polish when I re-detail. The following Fall or the next Spring it maybe time for a SMR. At what point in the process do I incorporate this w/Klasse ? (i.e. Dawn Wash, Clay, (will the Klasse be off at this point?), Polish/SMR (?), AIO, SG) - will AIO diminish the Polish ? I'm not quite sure of the order or what I can use efffectively w/Klasse.

Also, what is a good Polish ? I'm thinking Meg. #3 or #7. For SMR the consensus seems to be 3M SMR - I plan to use my PC.

Thanks for any input.

I'll take a stab at some of your questions. A pure polish without abrasives or "glaze" would be removed by using AIO so it wouldn't make sense to use that first. However if you are after the light abrasiveness of SMR you could use this before the AIO just keep in mind that the AIO will remove polishing oils that the SMR put down. It would probably help your AIO if you Dawn washed after the SMR and before the AIO.

The SMR and the AIO will work great with your PC.

Stripping your existing Klasse and starting all over could be done a few different ways. This is how I would do it:

1. Wash.

2. Clay

3. Clean/polish. The type of polish will depend on the severity of surface defects/swirls. This will also remove your existing Klasse.

4. Apply Klasse. If the SMR/paint cleanser used in the previous step didn't leave too many oils, using AIO at this point is optional.

As ShortCut just stated, using products like Meguiar's machine glaze or hand glaze is not really compatible or useful with synthetic polymers.
