Klasse over Zaino?

Anyone ever done this? Any prep involved?

I'm currently using Zaino on my Dark Blue 2002 Silverado, and while it's very shiny it almost changes the color to a light blue not really deep and dark like it should be. I really like the Zaino system but this one issue is an annoyance.

Thanks

I did it a long while back with SG. It seemed to work pretty well actually. The shine seemed to get even brighter, if possible, and most importantly, it did not remove the Zaino. I applied it over Zaino but never applied Zaino back over the SG, so don't know about that. It was on a relatives' car so I didn't follow up with more Zaino, but have since been using Klasse on it, so as to not waste my valuable Z! I don't think there were any tremendiously bad issues in using SG over Zaino. Seemed to work OK, if you want to experiement yourself.... Personally, I preferred the straight Z shine, but the SG changed it a little....

Yelf,

Yep, if you're looking to darken the color, and deepen the look, you may have to switch to The Klasse system with a carnauba topper, or go to a carnauba system with a good polish and a wax like P21S/S100.

I have had some success deepening the look on my vehicle by using more coats of Z5 with an occasional coat of Z2. However, it won't darken the paint. I, like Metallic Mike, really like the clear, clean, reflective look of the "Z". Plus, I like the added durability of the "Z" (or Klasse) over a carnauba system.

Still, it's fun to experiment with the different looks, until you find the one you like.

MAC[H]Z,

Hmmmm...... you've had luck putting the S100 on top of the "Z"? :bounce Sounds interesting!

I've had luck as well (so far). It's a summer experiment for me, and an opportunity to dabble with a carnauba. The shine is a bit wetter, the silver of my WRX a shade darker, and the metallic in the paint is slightly muted compared to straight Z. Looks different than straight Z, but good.

My inner-mad-scientist is happy with the experiment so far; YMMV.
