klasse maintenence?

Yesterday i did a full detail that ended with 1 coat of klasse SG. I just got done applying a second coat of SG to the whole car and wheels. It will begin to rain here in several hours and continue for a couple days. When the rain stops...how should i wash my car without ruining/taking off the SG? And can i simply wash my car, dry, and then apply the pure carnauba topper that i have been planning on?

Its a bit of a bummer that after all my hard work its going to rain...but hopefully it will look great again after a quick wash.

How do you typically wash your car?

2 bucket method with fake sheepskin mitt and turtle wax car wash/whatever is on sale that week. i'm not too picky about it, i just want to make sure i dont use a soap thats too harsh and will remove the SG. i also have some armor all car wash concentrate but the label worries me "cleans the toughest automotive dirt and grime". could be typical strong wording to sell the product, but it might also be a bit too strong.

I'm pretty sure that Armor All wash won't cause any problems. If you want to be on the safe side just mix it up a little weaker than normal. KSG is pretty tough stuff and shouldn't wash off.

[Insert lecture about finding a wash that's a) compatible with your LSP, and b) high in lubricity to mimimizle wash-induced marring, i.e., something like Griot's Car Wash ;) That TW wash resulted in lots of marring back when I used it, due, IMO, to mediocre lubricity and encapsulation. ]

With only two layers of KSG on there, I wouldn't be in a hurry to top it; I'd *much* rather have more KSG. For that matter, I quit topping mine as I like to keep adding layers of KSG as needed.

Thanks for the advice. So if you were me you would...wash...dry...more KSG?

agreed, that's why I posed the question. Take a look at your current washing routine and make sure it's up to snuff, Jason.

that's what I would do

I would also toss the fake sheepskin that sounds scarry

you can get a real sheepskin for $5 or a GS for $2 so I see no

reason to keep a fake sheepskin
