Klasse AIO by hand?

Newb here. Still not quite ready for the PC yet. Is it possible to apply the Klasse all in one by hand and will it be effective? If so, any application tips?
I have some minimal swirling on the hood from the previous owner. When the sun hits the metal flake, it really makes the swirls noticeable(on the hood). Thanks,
Shane

Yes AIO can be applied by hand, and with good results still. Just remember, a little bit of this stuff goes a long way! I found it was easier to work with by hand because it dries up fairly fast using the PC. But don't let that stop you from using the PC, you really should just jump in and try it out. Good luck

ditto on the pc talk. I use aio by hand all the time. While your doing it by hand go ahead and hit up your trim, windows, rubber. AIO is super versatile!

I wouldn't use it by hand if the car was thrashed and had serious oxidation or paint contamination, but if the car is in good shape then applying it by hand is about as tough as waxing the car. A PC just speeds up the process when the car is already in good shape.

Your right... all that The Fuzz said was to use a machine to help remove serious oxidation on a car. Like when a red car looks like red chalk. That would be a real pain in the hand to try and do that all by hand. I haven't used AIO in a while but it sure did leave the surface squeeky clean.

It will remove some because sometimes the swirls are just in the layer of contamination on top. The swirls get thrown out with the bathwater, so to speak. :)

AIO dries out fast with a PC because you are not using a damp pad.
AIO with a polishing pad works great with a PC if you spritz a little water on the pad periodically. I do about a 2' x 2' section, then wipe it off with a MF towel and don't have any problems with it drying too fast using it that way.
IMO, any slight swirl removal it might do is more from the action of the pad than the AIO. There are some that think AIO has some abrasives, but I'm not one of them.

if it has no abrasives, then how does it polish/ what is it for? :helpsmili

It is chemically abrasive. Paint thinner doesn't have any real physical abrasives in it either, but you know how well that works on some things. AIO is like that. It cleans the paint without the use of physical abrasives to remove swirls. It only cleans the paint and prepares it for a sealant. If you have swirls to remove then you will need to polish with something a little more agressive than AIO.
