HEY I GOT A QUESTION FOR THE AIRCRAFT DETAILERS ON HOW TO PRICE A FULL DETAIL ON A KING AIR? THE CUSTOMER IS WANTING IT WAX AND POLISHED AND ALSO THE INSIDE FULLY DETAILED.I HAVE NEVER DONE A JOB THIS BIG AND ANY ADVICE WOULD BE HELPFUL.:dcrules

Have you ever done any aircraft?

I have been asked, but too much liability in my opinion.... I'm not to fond of messing with the cockpit of a plane..... something that leaves the ground and flies.....lol not my cup of tea

sorry I couldn't help out.... I just like to type...lol

You owe me a new keyboard...:D

I spit my coffee out when I read that :D :D funny!!!

I feel the same way about planes, a guy I work here asks me questions about detailing his plane, and I would be nervous that as I am detailing the interior I would flip some switches and or turn some knobs the wrong way and next thing you know there goes the landing gear.

TODAY I WENT AND TALKED TO THE OWNER, AND WE ARE GOING TO DO THE JOB THE FIRST OF THE WEEK. I HAVE DONE SOME SMALL TWIN ENGINE PLANES AND KNOW A LITTLE BIT ABOUT THEM FROM MY DAD BEING A PILOT. I TOLD THE GUY I WOULD DO IT FOR $850.00. THIS MIGHT BE A LOW PRICE BUT HOPEFULLY IT WILL GET MY FOOT IN THE DOOR TO DO SOME MORE WORK FOR HIS FRIENDS. THERE ARE NOT A LOT OF PEOPLE IN THIS AREA THAT DO PLANES SO IT COULD TURN INTO A GOOD THING MABY.

Good luck! Hope to see pictures and read about your process. I wouldn't have the slightest idea of how to even start such a big job!

Being a pilot I can assure you that you can't accidently hit a swith or lever and cause any problems while detailing although I can understand the apprehension.

True, I was rather bored. But I am also a bonehead  because I didn't realize it was an old thread! Embarrass mode. :sorry:
