KAIO with P21s and other combos.

Ok, first sorry if this horse has been beaten dead by us noobs, but I can say I've read TONS of previous posts to avoid posting repeats. It can be hard to read dozens of strings, pull a piece of wisdom from this one and that one, and then put together the whole story.

I've had great success with GEPC and P21s combo.

But now I am out of GEPC and I'm going to switch to KAIO to get experience and to feel out the differences between KAIO and GEPC.

My main question is: is it ok to use P21s over KAIO as the LSP?

If I can do that and it works well, I'll then try KAIO/KSG at a later date. Maybe even KAIO/KSG/P21s.

other side questions: any advantage of LC pads over SFX pads?

is Gorilla glue the best way to re adhere the Velcro to the pad?

as for either combo GEPC/ P21s and KAIO/P21s how many layers do you typically use?

lastly, I have a can of NXT wax unused, am I missing out on trying that?

Feel free to offer any opinions on any or all my questions....

thats a great combo - i tried it earlier this week on my white 3000gt at it was fantastic! super slick and wet. sorry this pic is so dark, but it really looked and felt awesome!

Just applied another combo coat of KAIO and P21S the otherday, nice pair imo.

If you are looking for other combos, try using RMG, or one of the other glazes, Danase's Wet Glaze I think is another good one, followed by wax of your choice. I tried RMG for the first time followed by Souveran Paste, and I enjoyed the result.

From my understanding reading on here, NXT is better than Megs' Gold Class. Excels in most areas except durability IIRC.

i've only been using KAIO + P21s carnuba and the paint looks and feels very good

i've tried it on multiple cars with multiple colors and I like the results. Then again, its the only product/combinations i've been using so i am coming from a limited perspective

Regarding your unused can of NXT...

I have found that it goes on / off easily, and looks really good on dark colors. I applied it to a couple of metallic vehicles, and it really did a good job bringing out the flakes. I think there are other products out there with better durability, but I would say if you have a dark colored vehicle, and would like to give it some pop, it would be a good wax to use.

I've just ordered KAIO and already have P21s. Have you tried the Klasse SG? Do you have a preference over the shine? I heard the P21s doesn't last as long as the sealant.

If I KAIO+SG is there anything else I can do to increase the "wet look"?

oh for sure. I am gonna order some Klasse SG soon so my process will be

KAIO

KSG (Let it cure for 12 hours or so)

P21s

That gives the best of both worlds, the sealant will be there for 6 months while the wax will make ur car look wet for 3 or so

hope this helps

Cool. I have my car parked in my backyard - no garage. After KSG what can I do to protect it before applying the wax. Is it safe at that point to put a cover on? Or leave it off and take chances with the environmental elements - dust, birds, etc.

I did the KAIO and P21S for my last detail and the results were great. The only thing is that P21S tends to brighten the paint a bit.

i would leave it un-covered and just apply some sonus quick detailer before applying your second coat. i think sonus' QD's are like designed for Klasse products

i could be wrong though
