JW AJT over cured Zaino????

I'm originally from Boston. Moved down to West Texas in 2002. I've got a friend back home who winterizes both his & his wife's vehicles with Zaino as a base & THEN comes back 2-3 weeks later and applies JW AJT over the Zaino. Now I use both products. But as far as sealants go (as opposed to nuba's) I tend to stick with using only one brand's *system*, and not mix / blend multiple brands of sealant on the same paintwork. ****With the exception of Klasse All In One, which I use as a base for all sealants & Carnauba's**** For instance, when using FK1 1000P, I only use 425 as a QD. With JW, I only use AJ, AJT and JW's Gloss QD. Zaino is well, just used with Zaino products. Even CG Sealants. Same process with CG QD's, glazes, WMF. So I ask you, Do you see the need to layer AJT over cured Zaino??? AJT is a pure sealant & my guess is that it would't remove multiple layers of cured Zaino under it. My Friend swears by this system for the harsh winters up in Bean town. He claims that all the snow, road salt, road sand, salty air filled ocean breezes in the winter don't degrade an AJT over Zaino paint surface. Anyone have any thoughts on this, as I think he's nuts. lol. AJT or Zaino should be just fine for winterizing up north. But using both? Am I really that nuts?? Is he really that nuts?? OR......Is there same merit to his way of thinking? Any thoughts?

As for the AJT NOT degrading the Zaino, I agree. After all, AJT is a pure sealant containing no harsh chemicals or polishing agent that would remove the Zaino under it. Personally, I just went back to Zaino on my new Honda for the less than harsh winter here in West Texas. I did that for the long lasting protection coupled with the fact that there would be no need to re apply further Zaino layers throughout the winter. Just ONR washes & either Z6 or Z8 every so often. My situation is different than my friend's winter situation up in Boston. I can see his point, as the harsh winter conditions takes it toll on the LSP on his vehicles. His line of thinking is that if the AJT degrades, the Zaino is still there for protection. I was wondering if the road salt and salty ocean breeze conditions would begin to "yellow" or even cause the acrylic AJT to "crack"a bit. He drives a grey BMW 5 series and his wife drives a white Acura. Maybe he's right regarding the zaino / AJT combo.

Both products are great, but I don't see why you'd do a hybrid crossover? I'd just do 3-4 ZFX'd layers of Z2/Z5. Hard to beat that IMHO.

damn hoping there was more input on this.

recently switched over to ajt from the other spray sealants. i hope it bonds well cause i plan on using it as a topper
