I know this post will be moved:rules:, but just wanted to thank all the professional detailers out there on their work on the various automobiles they do. I joined in 2003, but didn't even look at this site again until about a 1 1/2 ago..:shocked
After studying this site I've learned more than I've ever been taught or heard or seen from other people regarding detailing being 31yrs old.*L* :nana:
When I first got into taking care of my own car I did more than most people did which was washing my car every week, wax, clay-bar, cleaning in the door jambs, hood, trunk, even gas cap:dance, in the wheel where dust-brake collects.:dance
People used to think I was crazy:bolt when washing my car by just those methods.*L* and when I heard people get their car detailed (which I've been to detailing places and watched) I just was explained they did the same thing I did (except the clay bar) and charged more:shocked, even things such as you don't need a polish, just wax.:goodjob and swirls, scratches are just things you have to except on a black car..:batunless you get it repainted.:hairpull
I have a black car so looking at swirls and scratches led me to belive that the only option would be to get my car repainted in due time:work:, but after witnessing the great detailers on this forum, (50/50 shots, especially black cars) :shocked:goodjob I have a new knowledge and understanding of REAL detailing:idea:waxing: and letting me know what to look for at any "detailing shop" that I go to
also doing my own detailing on my car and correctly. :waxing: Paint Correction, Polishing, Waxing, etc..etc...as been of a great help. Just wanted to thank everybody. Alright enough of the thank you.*L*
God Bless.
