Hello guys, I just picked up my 2008 BMW 335i coupe and I am super excited about it and even more excited about getting it looking sharp!

For my silver CTS-V I used Ultima Paint Guard Plus and while I am not a expert, I was not overly happy with the sealant. That is why I am going back to waxes. I am looking for something around the $30 price range... nothing too crazy! The car is garaged and is a daily driver, but does stay outside at work from 7 until 6 for 4 days a week so I need something that is somewhat durable without sacrificing depth quality etc.

Any good suggestions??? I went to autogeek to browse since that is where I usually get my stuff from and the only thing that I might be interested in is the Pinnacle XMT 180 High Gloss paste wax. Does anyone have a better suggestion. In case it does make a difference the 335i is titanium silver metallic (bright silver).

Elonheater32- I don't know anything about that Pinnacle product so I can't say this is "better", but I'd consider something from Collinite. Durable and cheap enough that if you don't love it, no real harm done. 845 is sorta the standard suggestion for silver, but don't write off the 476S either.

Isn't Autogylm a liquid type of wax.... it seems as if the solids are easier for me to work with.

The Autoglym HD is a paste.

Whatever you use, watch that you don't apply it too thickly; most people use a zillion times more product than they need and besides being wasteful and making the job harder, it makes it harder to get good results and more likely that you'll have issues. If a tin of [most any wax] doesn't last for years then something is *very* wrong.

Thanks a ton for the suggestions... I will either go with Autoglym's HD Wax or collinite.

I will post pics of the 335i once I get it all cleaned up. Too bad that all the cool stuff will not be visible such as the meth injection, JB3 tune, and dual cone intake!!

Grab the Autoglym HD from Wal-Mart, it should look great on white. If you don't like it, take it back, but I doubt you'll have issues with it. I too was let down with UPGP, without the use of something underneath like DWG, it lacks depth and is only reflective at extreme angles.

If you really want to spend 30 bucks you'll have to buy 2 bottles of 845IW. Best bang for the buck around, IMO.

My 335i is titanium silver metallic. I loved the space gray and the montego blue, but could not find exactly what I was looking for in those colors. I love the titanium silver metallic especially with the tinted windows. This is my daily driver so I wanted to stay away from the darker colors.

Great choice of color - silver hides dirt well. Is it a 2011 with the N55? Autoglym HD should look awesome. If you want to order some stuff - given the color try the optimum line :).

No, its a 2008 with the N54 engine. Dyno and track tests actually show that the N54 performs better than the N55.... go figure!

I just picked me up Autoglym HD Wax and I'm pretty excited about trying it out!!!!
