Just got a rotary!!!

Hey guys, I received a rotary as a gift. Nothing great, but hey it's a gift can't complain. I'm new to this and I'm not sure what to get for it. BTW, it's a Vector 236, like I said not a name brand, but can't complain.



I have read some posts as far as what to get but am confused with some of the lingo and acronyms for ex Dual Action which as I understand is for a PC polisher. please clarify.



Also what is a hook and loop backing plate??



What would be a good starter set for me? I believe 5/8" is the spindle size. I need to be sure it will work with this polisher before I purchase.

Find these with a flexable plate- Curved Edge Variable Contact Pads, Use a smaller plate than the pad by one inch. Pad 7.5 inch and plate 6.5inch. Check out Danase, I heard they have great deals on pads and they are a great vendor. I don't think Autopia CC has them, but I could be wrong.
