Just detailed a '04 Audi S4 Avant *no 56k*

hey every1,



My neighbor called me up today and asked if i'd detail his 5000 mile old S4 Avant, so i spent 4 or 5 hours on it. She turned out really nice IMO. Process was de-tar and bug (used 3M general purpose cleaner and 50/50 alk/water mix), wash/wheels, clay, then since the car had brand new paint, i went ahead and put down two coats of Meguiars gold class liquid. Cleaned the interior with GG interior cleaner, and dressed the leather with GG Leather Care. The tailpipes were pretty dirty, and mothers aluminum polish cleaned them up NICELY. Pics are to follow :)

Clean rims after Meguiars gold class wheel cleaner and 50/50 alk/h20 (proceeded to power wash the rest out from the inside)

well it is the S version, so i imagine the sport suspension did lower it a tad from ur garden variety A4....the thing is pretty damn quick with that 300hp 4.2 V8
 
Funny you say that...the wheels are the one thing i'd change about the car. :) The design is nice, but the wheels are FLAT, they have no depth or look of strength to them like my favorites, Kinesis K18 :bow

Same here - the only thing I don't like about the car.



Oh, and that it isn't in my non existant garage.
 
the tape is Scotch Automotive masking tape. I ran out of the green stuff and had to use generic white tape in one section, and it left a little residue when the green left *none* on the chrome and rubber strips

And I think you better tell your neighbor to go easy on the accelerator and not to take all turns at maximum lateral grip! (although I'm usually guilty of that myself) :D



With only 5k miles, that one shot of the front tire makes it look like it's time for new tires!!!
 
lol, this is the guy's daily driver...he also owns a Porsche 996 Turbo for weekends...hes all about fast driving.



At the end of my street theres a LONG double radius corner, it was wild feeling the 4WD adjust and pull me through the corner :D
