Just Curious

Just wondering what different brands of owners manuals say about how to clean leather seats. When I was lurking here 10 years ago several people had said to use Woolite and that’s what I have been doing. Looked in owners manual of 06 Ridgeline and it doesn’t say anything about how to clean interior or exterior. Not that I need to know because I’ve learned all of that here on Autopia. Pic is out of 16 tundra. 17 Highlander says the same thing. 5% wool detergent I’m assuming is woolite

Yup----take the time to read the interior care portion of most all brands Owners Manual and they will inform the same! I have compared a Ford 1995 manual to a 2011 Chrysler--both have the same basic instructions.

That exact same guidance is in the manual for our `13 Highlander. My 2014 VW with leather says to simply wipe down the surfaces with a damp rag to keep them clean.

Despite that guidace I use a leather cleaner and a interior protectant and the interiors still look pretty new.

Connally Leather Cleaner (on sale now for $5) smells like concentrated Woolite. You dilute the bottle and it will probably last a lifetime or two.
