Just a quick Before and After Hood Shot

This is a hood from my cousin's 94 suburban I did last weekend. The rest of the truck wasnt as bad as the hood, but it looked great overall when done. Anyways, I used #83 and the orange cleaning pad on the truck, and eventually finished with AIO/white polishing pad/PC and then Clearkote's QD.

Here's the after shot, actually it might be the other side of the hood but it all looked the same.

i need to figure out how to get better pictures, I can't seem to find the right focus distance like Scott always does, maybe I should use the flash and get a directly straight shot at it from closer up? anyways you get the idea, dacp works great but finishes very nicely, doesnt need much more to make it glossy. BTW that's not a scratch on the top of the pic, its a rope that was hanging in the garage from the ceiling to the wall underneath the flourescent light.

Looks like really good before and after shots to me. Massive improvement too!

Are you saying you didn't use anything over AIO other than Quikshine?

yeah we didnt have much time, he had to take off and help his brother move a boat, so we stopped early. I did the entire truck with #83, the used the pc and AIO. While I was doing the last of the AIO he was spraying the truck down with quikshine, and we got all the trim restored with some GM trim restorer (excellent stuff also). I wanted to top it with EX but he just wanted to EXit out of there, he doesnt enjoy that stuff like I do.

thanks, i was surprised, thought that paint was a gonner. just need to keep it protected from now on. I didnt really take much off it, but it looks like I repainted it or wetsanded it. He was pretty surprised too, but not as much as me. And remember, this after picture was taken immediately after the #83, but BEFORE I used AIO or anything else. The AIO basically made it feel smoother and protected it from the elements.
