Jeep Wrangler

Alright, I did this on Saturday but haven't had time to post until now. Nothing too exciting here, just did some work on my dads Jeep. This thing sits out 24/7...Wax is never applied, hardly washed. My dad usually just paints his rims every year. It really needs some love for the trim..It is way beyond repair with any trim restore product, we are going to take the trim off this weekend and paint it...So dont mind the rims or trim for the time being. The windows on the convertable top are swirled like crazy :(

Process was:

-Wash via Foamgun with Poorboys SS&S

- Optimum Compound/Polish 50-50 mix via Orange 4" cyclo pad and orange light cut pad both via PC

- Optimum Polish/FPII mix via finishing pad

-Finish Kare #425 Wipedown

-Pink Wax x2

-Tires got Armor All

-Wheel wells got armor all

-Wheel wells were cleaned with Amazing Roll off as well as convertable top

Interior:

-Plastic cleaned with Folex

-Carpet pre-treated with Folex

-Plastic then recieved Meguiars Quick Interior Detailer

-Carpet extracted with LGCM

Afters were taken with flash on - I guess I need to go over it again with the LGCM cuz it looks good without flash

nice job...do you find it hard to buff out those jeeps with all the curves and whatnots all over the car or no?

very nice! :xyxthumbs Wish you got some pics of the dirty MF's & pads!

You really brought it back from the dead though :D

Both the pads and microfibers were disgusting...The interior was just gross...my dad uses it a lot to haul all his building stuff he buys for our projects here at home..he finally made himself a trailer so it is getting better, you'd be suprised what he jammed into that little jeep haha

As for the curves and what not on the jeep..., there are hinges everywhere, nozzles, trim..it simply sucks (Especially the rear where the spare tire is) - I purchased 4" pads because I knew I would need them badly on this. My dads paint was terrible with orange peel, weird marks on the lower panels that I wetsanded with Meguiars 3000 grit...It was just a pain all together. I did it as a little thank-you to him as he is going to start our garage re-modeling project tomorrow! I'll try to post pictures after I paint the trim and wheels for him.

Great job! any full vehicle shots?

I only have that one before full shot because my mom had to take the camera to my sisters track meet. It is suppose to be really nice tomorrow so I will snap a after full sun shot - be aware that it isnt going to look as good as it can because of the trim issues I discussed. I picked up the trim paint today and we are going to do it on Thursday! :) I will upload the picture tomorrow as well as after I do the trim and wheels

I know I do. Plus you have to take the tire off the back, etc.

Excellent work, I am amazed you got that interior as clean as you did. Paint looks terrific. :)
