Jeep/Vinyl top fade - able to restore?

I have had a few people ask, and I have never tried, but is it possible to restore the color back to a Jeep or other vinyl top from years in the sun? I know the oxidized Windows can be worked with, but haven't seen anything that is not a cleaner and protector.

I will see if I can Google a picture here for more clarification.

Thanks

I would try Ragg Topp cleaner and protector.
I just used it and Ragg Top will not restore that. It is a chemical cleaner that is more for staining. It has zero abrasives in it.

If you zoom in some discoloration is gone but the scratch hazing was never removed.

You may want to try a plastic polish.

For the windows I was looking at a plastic polish, I was more thinking the fabric after time dealing with the sun. I didn't know if there was a way to restore the fabric without replacement.

You can try cleaning to see of it is actual fading or just impeded dirt.

Adding a protectant might enrich the color. You may also look into re-dying the top.

unfortunately the canvas tops as well as convertible tops have a limited life ... as do their replacements (limited warranty) ... depending on how it was maintained and the color they usually last about 7-10 years ... you can probably get it cleaner but there are no miracles that I have seen over the last 40+ years at this that will bring it completely back .. :(
