Jeep Grand Cherokee SRT

I took my truck to the dealer for an oil change ($22 coupon :) ) while I was waiting I saw they had a new SRT Cherokee on the lot. 6.1L Hemi and it looks just plain cool. My mom said I should simplify and just keep one vehicle if I want to buy a house soon so I'm thinking that would be an awesome vehicle to go to.

I wonder if I could do mobile detailing out of the back of it? It's no as much room as my tuck bed but at least it's closed and locked up.

I don't know if you could do mobile detailing out of it, but I do know that is one bad ride! I'd love to have one.

I was thinking someone here had one at one point but I can't remember who. Maybe it was a different forum (does one exist)

I had a friend who detailed out of a Tahoe. He just had to be well organized. I think this is smaller as far as cargo area.

Is this the '12 model or the previous model?

I really haven't kept up with them too much. I know there was a change at some point because I remember what the first one looked like and this one was a little different. It didn't have the center exit exhaust and the interior was different. The exterior was a little different also but I haven't paid much attention to the Grand Charokee line

I have a black 2009 Grand Cherokee with the 5.7L Hemi and a 3" Magnaflow stainless steel exhaust. Due to clearance problems, the exhaust has to come out of one side only.

Jeep went to the Mercedes platform from 2010 on and I remember reading that they also got rid of 2 big centered pipes for 2012. From 2010 on with the new design Mercedes platform, they have all had dual exhausts; one on each side.

The middle row seats do fold down so there is some room, but if you have say a big Mytee HP60 Extractor, Steamer, Master Blaster, Vac-n-blow, machines, etc., you will fill up the back end really fast.

A half-ton pick up with a 6 or 8' bed would have way more room for stuff but would not ever be as fun as an SRT Grand Cherokee !!!!
Your mileage will suck too, so dont know if that would be a consideration (it wouldnt be for me however.. :)

Mileage on my truck now isn't great. I've got the 5.7 Hemi in my truck. It's an 09 Crew Cab so it's not a little truck. Right now I average around 17 MPG. When I drive mainly highway I've gotten much better. When I went on a little trip I got about 20 MPG but that's the highest I've gotten.

I'm used to low MPG because I like power in my vehicles.

if your looking into in getting a house, then skip the new vehicle because the mortgage company's are looking at what you have on credit and how much your earning. Don't take out more credit and try to pay off any CC's you might have because you will need a down payment for the house. once you get your new home then you can start looking into if you can afford a new vehicle. Please be careful on how much you borrow.
