Jeep Cherokee engine detail !!!

Okay



Haven't detailed in 2-3 years,kinda rusty now.I'm planing on detailing my Jeep Cherokee 2000 engine.



1- Do I need to cover any electronics ?

2- I want to get a steam cleaner ( Any good one out there ?)

3- Engine degreaser (Could you suggest one ) ?



4 - Any steps to follow ?

1. Yes cover your electrics

2. I would advise not to or be very careful with steam on the modern engine. There are plenty of good cleaners out there you don't need to steam clean your engine.

3. PS21TAW, Meg's APC, Purple Power,CG Grime.... and an asortment of brushes

I used Gunk Engine Cleaner - works very well but the smell is bad and it actually stays inside your car for about a day or two after you use it. Make sure to use a power washer.



There probably are better alternatives though (as to the smell of the cleaner)
