Jax Wax Review (search yielded nothing)

So I have been a faithfull Zaino user for about 4 years, I have recently been expanding the scope of cars I work on (including the purchase of an older VW for myself) and found myself dissapointed with the lack of prep products Zaino has available. So I resorted to the Meguiars Professional line. Primarirly the M83/M80 combo. I am extremely satisfied with the results, and with the Meguiars NXT line, I have left Zaino all togather. But A friend of mine has become a avid user of the Jax Wax products. I am hoping some of you have information, experiences, or thoughts on these products.. I assisted my buddy in detailing his truck, and I was pretty impressed! Went on EXTREMELY easy and the results were FANTASTIC! It's only been about 4 days, so I was hoping for more intel on the products. Information on them can be found on Jaxwax.com. Anyone have anything negative?? Thanks in advance!!

Its fun to see spammers begin to actually put effort into it. Seems like most of them just say Last Forever and Looks Extremely Wet. Kudos to you my man for actually mentioning other popular brands in your quest to SPAM. Thats my type of spammer.

So I'm a part of Many car discussion Forums (mostly VW's) and this use of the word "spam" has me a little confused?? I searched, and it leads me to believe you are accusing me of Advertising/dropping in shameless plugs??!! Is that correct? Well, I assure you I am not, nor do I care to. I just (like stated in the orig post) would like some more reviews of this product before I consider buying it. The post you referenced for me, I did find, but you'll notice, theres NO reviews of the product either, it's just full of posts like yours accusing the originater of "Spamming" If that's a word.. I am not a professional, nor is my buddy that uses Jax Wax, and I just wanted to hear reviews from a variety of users with different stories to tell. As for my First post asking a question about a product :o I was under the impression that this forum titled "Detailing Product Discussion" would be a good place to gather information about a "Detailing Product" vice being referenced to a inexpensive, meat biproduct. I'll work on that. :think2

It's nothing personal Msuperbauer. It's just that seeing a brand new member whose very first post includes a rave review of a little known product raises an instant red flag. It happens a lot and it's almost always deceitful, gratuitous self promotion. Please understand that skepticism is a conditioned response due to other peoples' misdeeds.



Anyway, :welcome to Autopia.



Since your friend is so gung-ho on the stuff why not "borrow" some to do a test on your vehicle?

Well, Not a bad idea, I just don't want to waste my time, If someone else has used the products, and has an opinion, I'd rather do it that way other than risk messing up my finish.. Plus... Myself I am very happy with the Pro Meguiars line, along with the ocassional Zaino. All I really want to know is if my process is better, and have ammo to prove it, or bow down to the Jax wax... As for the "Not personal" portion, I should know that, I am more "senior" in other forums, and kinda forgot I was the newbie here (posts = knowledge right, lol).. And thanks for the welcome and explaining why people are calling me canned meat!!

No worries :hifive: This site is tougher than my Volkswagen forums! I'll learn the ropes :2thumbs:
 
Jax wax is nothing spectacular. Zaino is top shelf stuff. Sal does not have a full range of polishes and compounds because there are so many good products on the market- Megs, 3m, Optimum, etc. Any polish or compound can be used prior to Zaino as long as an ISO/water spray is used to remove any oils from the surface. Sal developed ZPC for those who want a good 1 step polish/cleaner without having to do a wipedown. Sal won't waste his time developing products that aren't unique or better than what's currently on the market. If you are happy with NXT then fine but many agree that NXT is full of short lived fillers and oils and that #21 is the better Megs product.

I do agree M21 is better than NXT, I also believe the depth and gloss from M26(they're Carnauba) is better than NXT also, just doesn't last as long imo. As for the Zaino, I talked with Sal, and he said that they're new Paint cleaner (I forget the name DAPC maybe?!?!) is as powerfull as 1500 grit sand paper when applied with a buffer and the right pad, my personal car has just needed more than that I guess. Have you personally used Jax wax? If so, how long was the shine, and how did it compare to the Meg pro line? Thanks in advance :usa

Not sure if it is more harsh than other forums or not. I think the members are just fed up with the product pushers. I myself have received two PMs from posts I made offering to sell me product. Who needs that crap?
 
I bought some of the Jax Wax spray QD at a car show -it's decent. I looked at a bottle of the car wax and it was seperated so badly that I felt that it had a lot of cleaners in it. I'd stick with S100, Collinite or another quality carnauba.

As a new member and a new detailer, I'm amazed by all the different companies and products. I can see why a new wonder wax would raise eye brows. Basically, I think Meg's is a really good brand - their Pro-line that is, I've tried Wolfgang, XMT and some Poorboy's and they were good too. I will try Memzerna or Blackfire one day. My take on stuff is if I can get it local or from Autopia,Autogeek or ProperAutoCare, then it's OK. From what I've read, there may be some discussion as to what is better, wetter, slicker or lasts longer (sounds like the promo for a porn movie!) but you can't go wrong with name brand sold by these folks.
 
im pretty sure everyone who frequents autopia on a daily basis knows how to use a search engine. if not spam why all the .coms and pms sent to me from people i do not know.



keep autopia clean!
