My friend just got back from a vacation in Tokyo Japan. He is a huge tuner car enthusist.

He went to some famous auto boutique in Tokyo and asked them what is their best wax with no reguard of price. He said they took him to the wax section and one whole side of the wall was Surluster products. He brought me back a can of Manhattan Gold from Surluster. I know others have mentioned Manhattan Gold before. I thought this was pretty neat because I have Surluster and used extensively in the past. It unquestionably as good as Souvran ( I have both ). It was $66. Here Surluster goes for $38.

Surluster is indeed the most popular wax over here. There are around 8 different varieties that are supposed to give you more shine, longer durability, easier application/removal than the others, depending on the can you buy. I've tried three different versions, and I can see no difference in performance.

The one I have now is in fact "Manhattan Gold" (100gm for close to $40). It's a nice wax, but the performance does not live up to the price. I haven't used it lately; I guess I should do a test alongside Natty's and Blitz, my two favorite Carnaubas.
