IW 845 as a LSP rocks on silver!!!

Just finished a coat of 845 after OPS this weekend. I never thought it had the "wow" factor, but I have to say it does on silver/gray metallic.

My bottle is pretty old. Has IW gone through VOC changes?

btw, I know this thread is worthless without pics, but I finished in poor lighting, so you're gone have to take my word this time. :)

I have been recommending 845 for silver cars for many months and still do. It really adds a nice look of warmth and wetness to silver, all while having nice clarity, too.

I prefer 845 over what is on my silver car now(FK 2180 topped with Opti-Seal). While what is on the car now looks bright and pretty wet, it just doesn't have the warm glow that the 845 had. The 845 makes the paint look soft and buttery smooth, whereas the Opti-Seal makes the paint look bright and hard. Not to say I don't like the Opti-Seal, but if I had to do it again it would be 845.

Alright, enough rambling. Just try the Collinite, you'll like it :)

Agreed! and congrats on your 1k post.

I tell ya what...If I can find some locally, I will snatch it. I have too many LSPs as it is so it'd have to be local.

I love 845, its great all around, probably the only reason I don't use it more is its not "exotic" enough. Damn autopia..lol.

the beading is phenomenal ( pretty much why I use it) but I tried some zymol from my brother in laws stash and I have to say that zymol is pretty nice. I think he paid $200 for it from BMW, so I don't see me re-applying anytime soon, but it has lasted 1.5 months so far on my car.

I've used 425 as a QD as well as one of the Sonus ones with 845, and both work well.

Note that I'm not much a QD guy, I like to see the durability of products without the help of any boosters. I'm pretty sure that any QD would work well with 845, though.
