It's only me

Hmm. I was asked to introduce myself, but how to go about it? I guess a good start would be the "template" I found in another post. So here it goes.

1. How did you wind up at Autopia?
Found the forum while I was researching car detailing on the Interweb. You might not believe it but I'd never even heard the word before.

2. What do you like most about detailing?
I'm a perfectionist, but not a very patient man. I like most that one can see results straight away, even after a relatively short period of work.

3. What are your favorite products/processes and why?
I have no opinion on that one yet, since I'm only starting. An additional handicap is that I live on a subtropical island and getting the products you want and need is a pain in the butt

4. What's your dream car and why?
That's not easy to answer. If we're talking about "affordable" dream cars, I just bought mine. A Renault Megane CC. I love it, because it is an affordable 4 seater convertible. It is not too ostentatious, drives really smooth, has a glass top and I just love the design.

I don't really have a dream car in the "not so affordable" category. There are loads of cars I wouldn't mind owning, most of them convertibles.

5. What's the best thing you learned on Autopia?
Hey, I just joined! ;-)

6. What are some of your other hobbies and interests?
I like social media, in particular Google+. I
also spend quite some time making paper models. And well, yeah, technology. If I can afford it. Love my Moto 360 smart watch.

7. Do you have any pets? If so, types, names, pics.
No.

8. Name three secret techniques that you think you should share to fellow Autopians.
I can't tell you. If I did, I'd have to kill you.

9. Where are you from and where do you live now?
See 8.

10. What was you first car and what got you interested in keeping cars perfect?
My first car was my dad's old Honda Civic. Loved it. I got into car detailing only recently when I bought my second hand convertible. I'm a perfectionist and though my car is in a pretty good condition it could be better. Researching car cleaning and maintenance products I stumbled over the word "car detailing". I'd never heard about it before, but it immediately appealed to my perfectionism.

11. What motivates you to detail?
See 10.

12. Would you ever pay someone else to detail your car?
Yes, I'd love to have Larry Kosilla to have a go at it, but I guess that more than 3.000 km of water between him and me will make that rather difficult.

13. Does detailing run in the family at all, or are you the only normal one?
I'm the only one. If normal or not probably depends on your point of you. Don't get my wife involved in that discussion.

14. What is your favorite part about detailing?
Perfectionism.

15. If detailing is a hobby for you, would you like to do it full time, or do you feel that it would take the fun out of it?
I could imagine doing it as a job, but due to living on a subtropical island my potential clientele would be very limited.

Ok, that's it for now. If you want to know my credit card and pin number you'll have to ask.

Saludos.

Hi

# 2 is the reason I like to detail. I can see what I'm doing actually accomplish something.

We're a fun bunch here, so ENJOY.
