In another car forum, a guy has found his perfect interior cleaner....

Huggies Baby Wipes. He only uses the ones with Vitamin E. From his thread:

I have tried this product for 6 months and it works great...for those who like a matte interior finish. I put it to the test by using the product and placing my car under direct sunlight for 6 months and so far no cracks or dryness.

That's it. I have officially seen everything. :)
 
There must be lanolin in the mix as well.

As Rabbi said, "If it works for him..." That said I do not think the detail community will over load on this little tip.

As far as the dash not cracking in six months... I would bet that if he left the dash alone and did not apply anything to the dash for six months the results would be the same. No Cracking

This is very true. Plastics in recent years are much better than in the 80's and 90's. People probably do not need to use protectants as often on the interior as much as they do but mindset is there.
 
I'm just wondering what he was going to do if cracks would have started to appear...toss out the baby wipes as not the solution?
