It's official! I'm getting a 2011 Ford FIESTA!!! FREE

Yup! I got a call earlier today that I was to be one of the lucky few who will be tasked with driving, reviewing, and blogging about the 2011 Ford Fiesta for 6 months for FREE!



They also will have some monthly "missions" and some cool free swag (I know for one I will be getting a free Sony Webbie ultra mini HD camcorder for free, woot!)



I will be sure to post lots of pics, videos, and reviews when I get the car starting April 20th.

Is it going to be a fancy fun one with a turbo? An ST or RS maybe? Or have i just gone completely insane and think that every hatch has to be hot now?
 
Sounds pretty cool. I bet you have been one of those lucky one that always wins something. I haven't won anything since a ten speed bike when I was five. My feet missed the peddles by about another three feet.

Are you kidding? Lumadar worked his butt off to win this...I think he hired a PR firm or something...:D

Of course! In fact, I am going to take it a step further and create a mini-series of videos doing demos of products and techniques. It was one of my ideas to help "spread the word" better. I figured the detailing community would like to tune in for videos...a rare find in these parts :cool:

Haha, thanks, and yes, I sure did! Getting the opportunity for me to give back to Ford and this country is like a dream come true- so when faced with the option I made sure to do everything I could to make it happen.

Heh, actually, the only things I have won in the past were awards for things like high test scores or getting the #1 spot in California's Physical Fitness Presidential testing in school- all of which I worked my tail off for... never really had "luck" in that sense. :nixweiss

Congrats! They really stand out to me. I've seen a few on the express way and right away I notice them.
 
I've got an update for you guys... a nice rendered shot of the car as I ordered/designed it. I think it came out great, and seriously can't wait to see it in person and take a buffer to it. Never owned a black car before...

Yes, that was an option. I opted for graphics (Not a graphics kind of guy, never had a single decal on my paint before) BUT I figured the car might be too bland to accomplish what it is I am trying to accomplish - grabbing the attention of as many people as possible without something unique.



The decals are a combo of black and grey- so they should be pretty subtle and blend in well.



If it ends up looking awful I can always take them off.
