Are you going about this by hand or machine? What is the condition of the vehicle's paint?

apply via PC 7424. Black Hummer H2, 1 1/2 years old. Minor swirl marks, minor oxidation.

I also have 4* Ultimate Paint Cleanser if that is a better product.

I apologize, I'm a bit new to this

While I have not used the products mentioned above, I would assume they would be okay to use with a PC. Then again, I would also have assumed that someone else on the board may have used those specific products and given you a response. I guess that's what happens when you assume...... :)

It doesn't sound like you need to be all that aggressive with the H2, so I would suggest, like always, to start with the least aggressive pad/product combo in a "test area" and work your way up until you see the desired results. Then carry on with the detail.

The 3M products shown wouldn't be my choice for your use.
The Scratch Remover is intended for spot removal of scratches.
The Shine Restorer with Carnauba appears to be a cleaner/wax.
The Rubbing Compound is probably too aggressive for your needs. It might also be a product best used with a rotary and by a person that is experienced with a rotary.

If you want to stay within the 3M line, they do make several swirl removers that would seem to be the better choice.

Jared's advice on doing a section and checking the results before doing the enitire vehicle is worth listening to. It can be very frustrating to do the entire vehicle and then find you haven't gotten the results you were looking for. Or worse yet, done more damage than good.:)
