Is there such a thing as "overwaxing" your car?

Because just for fun I wax my car everytime I wash it about 1-2 weeks, it just takes me 45 minutes with the P21S. Can it develop increased residue and etc.?

Thanks

Very, *very* unlikely. Especially with the P21S. The only real problem is that eventually you'll get contaminants sealed under the wax if you don't polish/use a paint cleaner/at least use clay. Every now and then you really do need to clean the paint better than you can with a "regular wash".

You wouldn't want to use a cleaner wax more than six times a year. The cleaners can be pretty strong.

P21S has no cleaners. You will not harm anything by layering that wax. Remember to polish though AT LEAST once a year.

My first inclination was to answer yes, but every two weeks doesn't define overwaxing.

Maybe waxing daily and stripping it every third day or something. But they have medication for that kind of thing. :D

Hmmm, mabey you should give Mosca and that shiny red Miata the name of that medication....

As said, buildup with something like P21S is unlikely. I was waxing more often than this a couple years ago, but then I stopped because it wasn't changing anything! (It was fun though. :D) A couple waxes I have heard can build up, but I don't think most the majority of waxes have this as an issue anymore (like LouisianaJeeper said).

Besides minimal gains though, another reason why you might want to tone down the waxing frequency is because it's a good idea to minimize contact with the car. As careful as you want to be, once in a while you're going to be accidentally rubbing in dirt as you wax.

Keep it waxed, I say, but also keep it within reason. :)
