Is there a difference between a water blade & a squeege?

Other than the plastic housing/holder. Asked differently, can one use a squeege on their car or is there something special about the water blade?

The waterblade is made from medical-grade silicone. Regular window squeeges are made from rubber, which is harder than silicone and will scratch the paint. The WaterBlade, if used correctly, won't (shouldn't) damage your finish.

The end of the water blade is also shaped like an upside down T. The design allows the part that touches the car to be very thin and drag water without applying a lot of force.

The safest route, IMO, is waffle weave towels. I reserve my water blade maybe for the windshield and rear window, that's it
