For those who don't venture into the Good Deals Section or Trading Post, you sometimes miss out on a deal that is too good to pass up.

A brief history. I was given a Chicago Electric Rotary by my aunt whose '36 ford got detailed for a wedding in Chicago. Since that time, I have relocated among the cacti in AZ but all of my "stash" is still in storage back in Chicago (Working on details to get it down here).

Nevertheless, I did a little perusing in Good Deals and saw where another member (jaycevs) was selling his Porter Cable 7428 for $80 and three pads for an additional $30. Additionally, I did some perusing in the Trading Post and found that another member (flatstick) had some Menzerna FP and IP for sale.

Well, $138 later and yours truly is now the new owner of a 7428 rotary, three Meguiar's pads, and some Menzerna.

As soon as it all arrives, I am going to detail the Avian Toilet (aka my Fiancee's Neon).

I also have a Sonus SwirlBuster pad and am looking for a flexible backing plate.

For those who own a 7428, do you put the dial on 2 or 3 when buffing with it?
Usually 2 but I have kicked it up to 3 at times. I would never go above 3 though as that is getting at 1800 plus RPMs.
