Is my pad ruined?

I'm going to have to buy a vault or something, everything I have gets messed with by other people in my house. Anyways, I have an unfinished basement with a smooth concrete floor. I went downstairs to get something and found my nice blue edge pad on the ground. Is it ruined? Cement dusts and I know that certainly wouldn't be good in my pads. Can I clean it up or do I need to buy another one?

Thanks

Rinse it out and then throw it in the washer with some white towels. If the velcro survives the wash cycle then you should be good to go. Only use a liquid detergent and of course air dry.

Put it on your rotary at about 3000 rpm. Hold it against your leg and count the seconds it takes to burn through to the bone. If its more then 20 seconds, your pad is fine. The concrete dust will act as an abbrasive and increase the pads aggressiveness. If you get to the bone in under 20 seconds, you have dust in there.

FWIRW, I agree with Bryan. Wash it out VERY good.

It's an edge pad, no Velcro to worry about.

So basically am I being way too paranoid? I think I'll vacuum the pad out too before I wash it.

After that though, it should be fine?
