Is my atavar offensive to anyone???

I was thinking to myself the other day about how people on here have their atavars showing their own work, or their own car, or their company logo. Mine however, does not. For the record, this was one of I think Todds cars that he worked on, and I am in no way trying to pass it off as my car or my work. I just really like lamborginis and the color blue, and I also really like the thing they got going on here with the doors opening up sideways. Just wanted to clear that up in case I offended anyone on here. THIS IS TODDS WORK NOT MINE! Are we clear on that? Good, you may all go back to what you were doing now...

I for one am shocked and appalled ;) Seriously though, I think as long as Todd is cool with it, that's all that matters since its his photo.

Kool, I just don't want anyone on here thinking that I'm trying to pass it off as my work. I believe credit should be where it belongs. I went ahead and changed my atavar anyway, to another Lamborgini that isn't mine lol

No. This isn't like you posted someone else's photo shoot and are taking credit for it. It's a nice car and you feel a connection to it. What more needs be said? I don't however, see the blue to which you referred. My eyes are old but I see silver or white.

My previous avatar was an 06 vanquish s. I work on the car and before that was a 66 275 gtb. If you feel the image represents you and the original author has no problems go for it. I don't use any pics outside of my work. However a blessing
on something doesn't make me
think less of someone.

Good I'm glad everyone is fine with it. This board has been quiet lately and I thought it was because of my atavar, but thank god it's not

:lol2:
When I used to drink, I would have to check during the day to make sure I hadnt posted something I shouldnt have or been in an argument on here the night before, and then had to fix it when I did. The forum would die off for a day or two and I would start wondering...goes to show how exciting my life
is :chairdance

Not that it matters, but I had no problem with it. Heck I was flattered. There are three people on AG that have cars I have done in the past as avatars, again not a big deal.

The only problem I have ever had (and why I water mark religiously now) is people taking credit for my work on their websites.

Heck there was one that had a picture of Brian Brice and I polishing an old Ferrari, and the guy said it was him and his partner...

Nice! :rofl

I should, in turn, give Yancy credit for my avatar. I mean he is the one who did the expert artwork for the autopia logo on the new wash buckets. I took one of the stickers, took a picture of it, and then posted it as an avatar. When I had my face, I must thank my parents for their DNA.
