Is Megs new orbital buffer any good?

In the UK we can't easily buy a PC. It is possible but need to buy a transformer etc.

Seen in the new Megs catalogue they do an orbital buffer (G104) which I can get easily in the UK . Anyone know if it is any good?

Comparisions with the PC would still be appreciated.

TIA

If that's the rechargeable one then forget it!!

Several people have bought it, tried it, returned it and then bought the PC......and lived happily ever after :)

It may initially seem a hassle importing the PC, getting a transformer etc, but it's well worth it :up

Thanks Tony (?)

It is the rechargeable one. Must admit that didn't appeal to me either. How frustrating would it be to have the batteries die half way through a job. Will investigate the PC further.

Yes!Get a PC7424 and you will never look back.Honestly,it is one of the nicest little toys I have ever bought myself. It is beautifully made,a joy to use and works. Also, everyone knows them in the USA so there is plenty of advice and accessories.THe PC is no orphan!

I too had to get a transformer as we are 240V but the inconvenience is far outweighed by the pleasure!

The David's can hook you up too.THeir service is exceptional.I bought the kit with pads and could not possibly be happier.

I have had my PC for about 18 months and have no regrets at all. As for the transformer, if you want to save a few Pounds, the 110v industrial things can be bought cheaply second hand.
