Is M7 glaze compatible with a sealant?

I`ve been reading how single stage paint loves m7 from megs so I will be buying it for my mustang regardless.

Now, how does it stack up on a clear coated finish that is presently sealed with 845?

I`m talking purely from a shine perspective here. Enchanting gloss if that`s possible considering 845 looks great on a black car.

Youre talking about applying it over top of the sealnt? Never heard of doing that but wouldnt think it would serve much, if any benefit.

No. not necessarily. I`d be curious to learn if it would benefit the overall finish. Wether your apply it as a first or second coat.

Meguiars M7 has been around for 46 years or more..
It will be good to bring up gloss because it has a lot of oils in it.
It will last about as long as the next car wash if its not exposed too long to the elements outside ( heat and moisture)..
It has always been nothing more but as the bottle says - a "Showcar Glaze" keyword - Glaze..

While I simply *LOVE* the Meguiar`s "Pure Polishes" such as M07 for use on old-school single stage, I find them utterly useless on basecoat/clearcoat paint. Zero reason to ever use them for that and goodness knows I experimented with it enough when b/c first came out. COMPLETE waste of time/effort/money IMO.

BUT otoh somebody here once said how much he liked it, so I guess YMMV always applies.

If I wanted to use something additional with a LSP like 845, I can think of many better choices. I currently have a "does a bit of filling" product under the FK1000P on the `93 Audi, but I sure didn`t use M07/M05/M03/M09, all of which I have on the shelf :D

You need to post us a pic of your garage buddy. I`d love to see what`s hiding in that collection. Noted. Will only apply on the mustang.

Striker- No great collection here...the Jag`s been mothballed for years offsite. Now I just have the three Audis, the Crown Vic, and the Tahoe.

Heh heh, there will never be any pics of my shop/home/etc. on the internet ;)

If somebody wants to use one of the Meguiar`s Pure Polishes along with a sealant, I`d go with a *Meguiar`s* sealant. AFAIK their stuff is supposed to all be compatible. Still wouldn`t use the M07/etc. on b/c though, but the M09 would probably work out about the same functionally-speaking and should provide some filling. Since IME it "dries drier" than the M07 it might work better under potentially finicky LSPs. But with all the other current offerings on the market these days (Black Hole, Essence, neither of which I`ve tried) I`d still go with a different combo.

You won`t have any problem using a Meguiar`s sealant over it. M20, or M21 would be just fine.

Not sure about 845.

danlc95- Yeah, those are what I was thinking of, but no first-hand experience with `em myself. I`m trying to recall whether I`ve ever used 845 over one of the Pure Polishes, but I can`t say for certain. Don`t *think* I ever did..
