Is Lexol okay to use on leather jackets?

I have a leather jacket that's in pretty good condition, but can get a little dry between I cleanings. Right now I have a cleaner/conditioner in one that I got at Wilson's Leather, but I'm not too happy about its performance. Do you think Lexol pH is okay to use? I don't know how to describle the type of leather except that it's what you expect a normal leather jacket from GAP or Banana Republic or J. Crew to feel like.

Just don't use too much lest a) the garment gets slimy/messy and/or b) it conditions *too* much at the seams, allowing the stitching to pull through the leather if it's stressed. And of course it'll smell like Lexol, so make sure that's OK with you ;)

Most "light" leather treatments seem OK for leather jackets, but I really don't care for the slime factor so I treat them very infrequently. I don't mind creases/etc. and reasonable wear, but yeah, you don't want to let them dry out either. And I try to *not* have them cleaned if I can avoid it. A little spot cleaning with leather cleaner can go a long way.

I treat mine in the late summer but I did skip last season. The previous treatment appeared to still be plenty active.
