Is it safe to use Liquid Glass Polish on the new C-6 Corvette?

The DVD owners guide to the 2005 C-6 Corvette says do not use cleaners containing petroleum distillates so does this rule out using Liquid Glass Polish? If it does rule it out any other substitutes? I have had great success with Liquid Glass Polish and have used it since 1979. :brick

NOt that LG is a bad product but I would not use it on a new car PERIOD.Find a carnuba with no cleaners or call Steve at Poorboys and ask his opinion.EX or EX-P is a good sealent to use on a new car then Natties as a LSP and you have a beautiful shine

There are good and bad PD......most companies use the good stuff now, which is safe for just about all finishes, from what I have heard.

Hey, ABC, is that you from the Corvette message board? :phone:

Good thread, I think you're OK with LG but there are alternatives with fewer/better PD's in them. And some with NONE.

I have used it in the past with excellent results on an older car.

I would consider Zaino but there are too many things to buy and that are required to use...too many steps = $$$$ and more time..perhaps Klasse a one step application type of protectant would be better for a new 2005 Corvette but again this product may also contain PD's. :phone:
