I kept my dulled windshield wiper blades too long and there were very miniscule pebbles that were on the blades thats scracthed up my glass windshield in the pasttern the blades move in; like a rainbow of scratches.

Is there any polish that can be applied by PC for removing such glass scratches??? :nixweiss

There are a few products geared towards that, TOL carries a One Grand window polish made with pumice. Also Diamondite has a window treatment but I am not sure if that includes a polish. I also think CMA carries some form of sanding plates for the PC/Rotary with an AUtoglym window polish. I really think these products are meant more for removing road film, overspray and such and these will be ineffective against scratches.

Try the above. I have seen Glass Mechanic's polish with a Rotary only.

I have removed scratches in windshields a couple of times but was never happy with the results. First it takes forever I mean a couple of hours of polishing. One was a tinted windshield, the scratch from the wipers was gone, but you could see where it was from the 2 different colors of tint. The other was a non-tinted windshield, again no scratch but in the sun it looked all wavy. Bottom line after spending way too much time I ended up just replacing the windshields. It works but gives less than optimal results, IMHO.

if these are wiper blade "smears" i have been very lucky to remove 90% of them by claying windshield 2-3 times.

you might have luck before you start to grind away with the industrial strength stuff. IMO.

good luck,

Believe it or not when I worked at a Chrysler assembly plant, they used Bounce fabric softener sheets to polish light scratches out of the glass. Not sure if it works or not, or if it's just hiding the scratches temporarily. What do you got to lose though!?!
