Is it possible? (Glaze + Carnauba + Sealer Question)

I have searched with no real result (other than what products not to mix) for a good combination (if any) of what Glaze, Carnauba, and Sealer I can use on top of each other.

Is this even possible without wearing one away?

Also, is it true you must wait 24-48 hours between coats (of any of these products)?

Thanks!

Hello

I have posted so many times on this i cant believe you cant find a post!

Optimum Opti Seal works perfectly over any nuba wax or sealant.

In the past i have recommend this for waxes with have a low durability rating but lots of good looks. OS preserves the looks and increases durability to around 3 months!

The question you might want to ask is why you want to do it, you can always a buy a durable nuba wax as an LSP? Do you really think you will be able to last after a washing with you applying a top up product?

As far as choosing a glaze, these seem to be such a misunderstood thing on this forum. Just choose one which compliments your paintwork or needs.

With regard drying etc. When topping the Nuba wax with OS you dont have to wait anything more then a few mins to just ensure any oils in the Nuba wax are expelled from the LSP and can be buffed off. Waxes have no cure time, there is nothing to cure. They do not bond with the paintwork there are no problems.

However! Most people dont undertand that there "wax" maybe a polymer-nuba blend and if the insturctions on the wax say wait 24 hrs then you should wait 24hrs.

I hope that helps! Let me know if you need anymore help. :bigups

BTW. Some sealants will require you wait before applying another coat on top of them. Some do not, those that do will all request a dry place to cure for the duration also!

Something modern like Zaino ZFX or JetSeal 109 can do several layers of themself in one hit.

I would advise you consider glaze (polymer, Prima Amigo the greatest polymer glaze) topped with say 109 Jet seal then top with a wax.

Or RMG (if you have metalic or pearl) topped with Wolfgang Sealant topped with a beauty wax.

Remeber its pointless laying different products if you dont compliment each layer with a better product on the next layer!

I would choose your glaze dependant on what type of look you want. DWG and the many different rebranding versions all darken paint and imo create faux wet finish with little integrity for the original look of the paint. It has its place but i wouldent advise it unless the person knows they want from the paintwork. It doesnt do too much for metalic and pearl pop either.

All of the polymer glazes will sandwich well between or on top of LSPs.

So applying a glaze, then nuba, and topping off with a sealer will not have my desired affect? I am wanting to minimize the frequency that I have to apply any of those 3 things.

Can I achieve anything close to this (even if it is in a different order) with OTC products? Meguiar's or Eagle One for instance?

Thanks for your responses!
