Is it okay to use a QD in between coats of wax?

Dear Autopians,

I wanted to put a second coat of NB on my car, but haven't yet had a chance. I'm giving a friend a ride home from work tomorrow, and so it would be nice if it were in tip-top shape. It could definitely use a QD'ing (it's been raining), but would this have adverse effects on my wax layering??

The QD I was planning on using is FK #425. I do also have CK Quick Shine and Jeff's Quick Wash if either of those would be a better option.

Thanks in advance for the help!

Check your paint first. If there is a film of dirt left behind by the mixture of rain and dust, then a QD might not be enough and you would have to wash instead.

Generally speaking, a QD is a good idea between wax coats IF you don't have a chance to wash. Obviously, if the car is more than dusty or SLIGHTLY rain spotted, you will want to wash. I always follow a wash with a QD anyways to aid in drying with less friction and curbing water spots.

When you start wanting to layer a sealant is when you have to be more careful with which QD you are using, IMO.

QDing between wax layers isnt going to hurt anything. I actually QD in between layers of wax to ensure I get all the extra wax off the car from the first layer.
