i think i had the 3M lineup figured out a few years ago...

but just looking at their products just now on their site,,, i am more confused with all their labelling and various products. ie perfect it, perfect it 3000, perfect it II, perfect it III, perfect it 'car care' line,,,, and each of these lines have numerous glazes, compounds and swirl removers.....i mean, holy crap.

does someone have a good way of straightening all this out...(simplify it for me) ??

hehe...i know what you mean. i feel the same way about Menzerna products. everyone talks about them, but the weird names make it hard to remember. POx089.0-0-0-0.23.a1 v2 buffing polish, AB579.99 v1.0003 finishing polish, etc.

i wish someone could just say what is what and where to get 'em. :)

Menzerna line is simple to decipher. 3M's is killing me. It has more variations than a Kama Sutra and only difference is whether your toe curls up or straightens up. At least Kama Sutra tells you what is the difference in clear straightforward language.

Amen! Do any of us "need" 15 variations of polish or compound? I'm looking more and more at Optimum and just getting a handful of products that will work. You add in the pad variable and you've got plenty of choices.

This is why i like otpimum, striaght forward, no BS names and works great.

This is also why i like megs pro-line. Sure the part numbering confuses people but right on the side of the bottle is the aggresive chart so it isnt hard to figure out.

phew!!,,

atleast it wasnt just me!!

i'm actually a sucker for Megs (80 series), guess i'll stick with that!
